Oswin Plastics is based in the Ghaswala Industrial Estate, specifically at unit 142/48. If you’re driving down S V Road in Jogeshwari West, we are directly opposite the old 24 Karat Theatre. That theater is a landmark everyone knows, so it helps people find our gate. The industrial estate is one of those older spots in Mumbai where everything feels a bit cramped and lived-in. Our space is mostly taken up by the plastic molding equipment and bags of raw material. It’s not the quietest neighborhood, especially with the traffic on S V Road and the general bustle of Jogeshwari. Inside, it’s a bit of a maze of crates and machinery. We’ve got a small office tucked into the corner, but most of the action happens on the floor. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, but we’re used to the humidity by now. We don’t have any polished marble floors or corporate art on the walls. It’s an old-school workshop through and through. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the production schedule to worry about that. Most of the people working here have been in the plastics trade for a long time. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily orders. It’s a noisy, busy, and sometimes messy place, but it’s where we’ve been doing business for years.
