Mudra Dance Classes

Mudra Dance Classes is tucked away in Block No 106 A at Manish Kunj B here in Malad West. It is a quiet enough spot once you get inside, though the neighborhood can be quite lively during the day. We started this place because we wanted a space where people could just come and learn some moves without feeling like they are on a stage. The studio isn't huge, but it has enough room for a group to get together and practice. We have mirrors on the walls and a floor that has seen a lot of footwork over the years. Some days the music is loud and everyone is sweating, and other times we are just working on slow, careful steps. It is mostly local kids and some adults from the nearby buildings who drop by in the evenings after work. We don't do fancy recitals with big lights every week; it is more about the daily practice and getting the rhythm right. The walls are a bit scuffed from years of classes, but that just shows how much use the room gets. If you live around Malad, you might have walked past our building without noticing us, as we are a bit hidden away. We just show up every day, put on the music, and help whoever walks through the door learn something new. It is a regular job for us but a fun one that keeps us on our feet.
