Lucky Components Pvt Ltd is over in the Mistry Building on J S S Road. We are on the 3rd floor, in units 15 and 16. The building is quite old and has a lot of character, located near Metro Adlabs, which is a famous spot off Marine Lines. If you walk down J S S Road, you’ll see it’s a very traditional part of Mumbai with lots of old structures and small shops. Getting up to the 3rd floor is a bit of a climb because the ceilings are high in these old buildings. Inside, we have rows and rows of shelves packed with all kinds of electronic components. It’s a bit of a maze, but we know exactly where everything is stored. The rooms have large windows that look out over the street, so we hear the honking and the general bustle of South Mumbai all day long. It can be quite dusty with all the old paperwork and the stock we carry. We aren't a high-tech office; we’re more of a traditional trading spot where people come to find specific parts they can’t get elsewhere. Usually, it’s just a few of us here managing the inventory and answering the phones. We spend a lot of time checking part numbers and packing up small bags of components. It’s a busy, slightly messy environment, but it works for us. We’ve been in the Mistry Building for a long time and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else.
