Growtrees Ecosystem Foundation

Our foundation, Growtrees Ecosystem Foundation, is based in Colaba. We are in a building called Schehrazade on Justice Vyas Road. We are on the ground floor, in unit G3. Colaba is an old part of Mumbai with a lot of history, and our building has that old-world feel to it. It’s not a modern skyscraper. It is a solid, older place with high ceilings and thick walls. We focus on trees and the environment, so our office often has plants sitting around and maps of different areas we are looking at. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We are just a small team of people who like being outdoors more than being in the office. But when we are here, we are busy planning where to plant next or talking to people about the local ecosystem. The street outside is usually busy with people walking towards the gateway or the market nearby. We don't have a flashy sign. You just look for G3 and knock. Sometimes we are messy because we’ve just come back from a site visit with muddy shoes. We don't worry about being polished or corporate. We just want to get more trees in the ground. It’s a simple life and a simple office. We have our files, our maps, and our tea. That is about it for us. We are just trying to do our part from this little corner of Colaba every day.
