E-Designs

E-Designs is situated at Shop No.1 in the Empire Estate building, right in the middle of Zaveri Bazar. If you know Zaveri Bazar, you know it is one of the most crowded and hectic places you can find. There is always someone carrying something heavy or rushing to a meeting. Our shop is small, but it’s our little corner in all that chaos. We focus on design work, sitting at our desks with the computers running all day long. The building, 62/62A, is an old one but it has character. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know our way around the software and the local requirements. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front of the shop. We spend a lot of time drinking chai and staring at screens. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find leather chairs or a fancy lobby. We just have our workstations and a lot of cables running everywhere. Most of our visitors are people from the nearby businesses who need something designed or fixed up quickly. We’ve been here long enough to know most of the tea sellers and the other shop owners on the floor. It is just a practical workspace where we get our projects done and try to stay out of the rain during the heavy monsoon season.
