Shiridi Restaurant

We are located on the 1st floor on Prakasam Road. It’s right there at the corner where Congress Office Road meets the rest of Governerpet in Vijayawada. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we’ve been here at 520002 for a good amount of time. Being on the corner means we get a lot of light, though the noise from the street comes up too. Shiridi Restaurant is just a straightforward place. We don't have any fancy decor or anything that would win an award. It’s just tables, chairs, and a kitchen that stays busy from morning till night. Sometimes the traffic outside gets backed up near the Congress office and we just watch it from the windows while we work. It’s a lot of routine, really. Boiling water, setting out the plates, and making sure the floor is mopped. We don't use any complicated technology. Just a notebook for orders and our memories. Sometimes we make mistakes, maybe a dish takes too long, but we’re just people doing a job. Vijayawada can get really hot, so the kitchen is always a bit of a challenge in the summer months. But we like being in Governerpet. It’s a lively part of town and there’s always someone new walking in. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, day after day.
