Peeco Spices

You can find Peeco Spices in Kurchi village. We get our mail at the Ithithanam P.O. here in the Kottayam district. It’s a quiet village area, not like the big cities. You can usually smell what we’re doing before you see the building. The scent of different spices is always hanging in the air around here. It gets into your clothes after a long shift. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while. It’s mostly just us handling the grinding and packing. There are no fancy machines that do everything automatically. We use our hands a lot. The village life is slow, but we stay busy enough. Sometimes the rain in Kottayam makes things a bit damp, so we have to be careful with the storage. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just a family-style operation where everyone knows everyone else. Neighbors often drop by to see what’s being processed that day. We don’t put on a show for anyone. It is just a workspace with some bags and scales. Most of our days are spent weighing things out and making sure the bags are sealed right. It’s honest work in a small village. We like it being simple and tucked away in Kurchi. It feels like home here. It is what we know and how we spend our time. We just keep working away in the village.
