D K Stone Traders

D K Stone Traders is out at Plot No. 67 in the Dakiya Industrial Area. We are right across from the R.R. Lab, which is a big landmark for people trying to find us. Being in an industrial area means there is always noise from machines and trucks revving their engines. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where all the action is. We spend our days managing the inventory of stone that comes in from the quarries. My partner and I handle most of the paperwork ourselves, which can be a bit of a headache sometimes when things get messy. The office is just a small room with a fan that makes a clicking sound, but it gets the job done. We don’t bother with fancy marketing or anything like that because most people just find us by driving through the area. Working in the stone trade is mostly about having a good eye for what you are buying. We spend a lot of time walking around the yard, checking the edges of the slabs. When the weather is nice, we leave the big gates open to let the breeze in. It is just a straightforward business. We buy stone, we store it, and we sell it to people who need it. There are no secrets or big promises here. We just show up every morning at eight and get to it. It’s a living, and we enjoy the work.
