Balaji Mobile

You can find Balaji Mobile over at Indira Bazar, shop F-55. It’s right in the middle of the market rush. We have a glass counter full of phones and accessories. The space is quite small, so we have to use every inch of the walls for hanging covers and chargers. It’s always loud outside with people shouting and bikes zooming past. We spend the day helping folks pick out a new phone or fixing a cracked screen. There’s always someone coming in for a recharge or a new SIM card. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things get quiet, but that doesn't happen often. The shop gets pretty warm in the afternoon sun, so we keep the door open to get a breeze. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot where people come because they know us. We’ve been at F-55 for a good while. Sometimes the electricity flutters, and the lights go dim, but we keep working. We don't use any big words or fancy sales talk. We just show you what we have and tell you the price. It's a simple way to run things. We see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s a good community here in the bazar and we feel like we belong. Working in such a small space means you get to know your coworkers really well, for better or worse. It’s a busy life but we enjoy it.
