Our shop, K L M Electronics, is right in the heart of Tawilpura in the Old City. If you’ve been around here, you know how narrow the streets are and how many people are always moving about. It’s a crowded area, but it has a lot of character and history. We deal with all kinds of electronic parts and repairs every day. The shelves are packed with boxes, wires, and components of all sorts. Sometimes it looks a bit disorganized to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is located. People come in looking for a specific transistor or a cable they can’t find anywhere else in the city. We spend a lot of time with a soldering iron in hand, fixing small circuits. It’s a small space, so it can get a bit cramped when there are more than two customers inside at once. The walls are covered in old posters and calendars that have been there for years. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We don’t bother with big signs or flashy lights. Most people know we’re here by word of mouth. It’s the kind of place where you can get your TV or radio looked at without a lot of fuss. We enjoy the pace of the Old City. There's always someone selling tea outside and the constant sound of scooters passing by.
