Krishna Spices

Our shop is on Mulgund Road in Betigeri, at number 79-6-42. It’s easy to find because you can usually smell the spices before you see the door. Krishna Spices has been around for some time, and we mostly deal with local folks. The building is a bit old, but it does the job for storing what we need. We spend most of our mornings grinding and packing things up. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, and we have to clean up twice a day. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. People just walk in because they know we are here. My uncle used to run things, and now I handle the daily bits. We have a few regulars who come in every week for their masala. The road outside gets dusty in the summer. We try to keep the bags stacked neatly, though they often end up in piles when a big shipment arrives. It’s just a simple life here in Betigeri. We don't have a website or anything fancy. Just a counter and some scales. We like the way the shop feels when the sun hits the front window in the afternoon. It’s quiet sometimes, then suddenly three people show up at once. We just take it as it comes. There is always a lot to do, and we just keep working until it is finished.
