Our warehouse and office are situated at No 4/302 on Lal Bahadhur Shasthri Street in the M. A. Nagar area of Redhills. Chennai is a very big place, and being out in Redhills gives us a bit more space for all the loading and unloading we have to do. We deal with soya products and oils, so there are always trucks coming in and going out of the gates. The main gate is usually busy with drivers checking their paperwork and waiting for their turn. Inside, it is mostly just boxes and heavy containers stacked up high toward the ceiling. It is a bit dusty and the industrial fans are always humming to keep the air moving. We spend a lot of time checking inventory and making sure the shipments are ready to go out on time. It is not a glamorous job at all, but it is what we do to earn a living. Our staff wears comfortable clothes because there is a lot of walking around the warehouse floor throughout the day. We have a small office space tucked in the corner where the phones never seem to stop ringing with orders. The street outside can get quite jammed with traffic, especially in the early mornings when everyone is heading to work. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day’s orders. It is a practical operation without any frills or fancy decorations. We have been at this for a long time.
