Ganesh Coffee

Ganesh Coffee has been over at 7/17 New Colony Main Road for a good while now. We are tucked in near the Shakthi Marriage Hall, so it gets pretty lively around here when there's a big wedding going on. Most days it is just the local Adambakkam folks coming in for their daily supply. We keep things pretty straightforward in the shop. There isn't much room for standing around, just enough space to get what you need and say hello. The grinder makes a lot of noise, so sometimes it is hard to hear people talking, but we manage. We handle the beans ourselves and try to keep everything tidy, though dust from the bags always seems to find a way onto the counters. It’s a humble spot, nothing fancy to look at from the outside. We open up early because that’s when people want their coffee most. Working near the marriage hall means we see a lot of new faces, but the regulars are the ones who keep us going. We’ve lived around here for years, so we know the shortcuts and the quiet times of the street. Dealing with coffee is what we know how to do. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road for a bit, but the neighbors are used to it. We just focus on the bags and the scale. It's honest work and it keeps us occupied from morning until we close up the shutters for the evening.
