Murthy Clinic

Murthy Clinic is situated at 519 2nd Cross on Mysore Road, in the G.E.F. area. Mysore Road is a major path through the city, so it’s always got a lot of trucks and buses moving by. Our little corner on 2nd Cross is a bit more tucked away from the main noise. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. The clinic is a simple building that has seen many years of service. Inside, the walls are painted a plain color and we have some old wooden chairs for people to sit on. It’s not the kind of place that tries to look modern or trendy. We are just here to do a job. Most of our patients are people who work in the nearby factories or live in the small houses around G.E.F. We see a lot of work-related scrapes and regular health issues. We don't have a complicated system for seeing people. You just come in, wait your turn, and talk to the doctor. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us and the people around here. We know the local shops and the people who run them. It feels like we are part of the brick and mortar of Mysore Road. We just keep our doors open and help whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out but we just carry on with what we are doing.
