Urban Render

We are up on the first floor of Choice Premises on C G Road. It’s right near the Municipal Market in Navrangpura, which is always crowded. Urban Render is basically just a small team of us working on computers and talking to contractors. Most mornings start with tea and looking at a pile of emails. Ahmedabad is a city that loves building things, and we are right in the middle of it. Our office isn't very large, but it’s got enough space for our desks and a big table for layouts. We spend a lot of time arguing over where a wall should go or what color looks less dull under office lights. The traffic outside on C G Road can be a nightmare during lunch, but we’re used to the noise by now. We don't really do the whole corporate pitch thing. Usually, people just find us because they saw a project we did down the street or heard about us from a friend. We try to be honest about how much things cost and how long they take. Construction is messy and stressful, so we try to keep things grounded. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, eating snacks from the stalls downstairs. It’s hard work, but seeing a space actually get finished makes the long hours feel okay. We’ve been in this building for a while and like being part of the Navrangpura neighborhood.
